Samsung using Android on 50% of its smartphones this year
A report by Reuters shows that Samsung is planning on using the Android OS on more than 50% of its smartphones this year.

The article doesn’t go into much detail, but the number isn’t very surprising. More surprising is that they’ll be using their out bada operating system on roughly 1/3 of the smartphones they sell. While I can appreciate that they’d want to promote their own OS, wouldn’t the vast majority of consumers prefer an Android device; it’s better known, has more apps, etc.
It’ll be interesting to see how those numbers shift for 2011.
