Pre-Alpha version of Firefox has been released for Android

Mozilla Firefox, one of the most popular web browsers in the world, has released an early test version for Android.

The mobile version of Firefox, known as Fennec, can now be downloaded for any Android device, though it’s only been tested on the Motorola Droid and the Nexus One so far.  Even on those devices it’s quite unstable, but it’s a good sign for things to come.  More available browser options are always good, and Fennec should develop into a solid choice in the future.

If you want to try it out, you can visit bit.ly/fennec-android on your mobile device, or just scan the QR code on developer Vladimir Vukićević’s blog.

If you give it a try, leave us a comment and let us know how well it works (or doesn’t work) for you.
