Nexus One not coming to Verizon; get the Incredible instead
With the HTC Incredible due out in a few days, I had been wondering what that would do to the push for the Nexus One on Verizon, since the Incredible is a better phone. Now we know.
For a while, Google has promoted the Nexus One as “coming soon” to Verizon, but now that has changed. Instead, they suggest you pick up the HTC Droid Incredible. If you visit the Google phone selection page, they’ve changed the Verizon description to read:
For Verizon’s network, you can buy the Droid Incredible by HTC, a powerful Android phone and similarly feature-packed cousin of the Nexus One.
It’s a good move. No need to offer the Nexus when the Incredible is such a solid device.
On the flip side, the Nexus One has just been released for Vodafone UK. Pre-orders start today, and the phones will be shipped on April 30.
