Long awaited Android 2.1 for Droid Eris coming tomorrow?

We recently told you that the Android 2.1 update for the Droid Eris was coming “soon”, but now it appears that it’ll be arriving tomorrow.

According to an internal memo sent to Verizon employees, the update is “tentatively scheduled” to roll out beginning tomorrow.

If you’re an Eris owner, be sure to back up all of your important data before the upgrade begins.  Here’s hoping that the schedule holds true and those Eris owners can finally get the upgrade.
