Hands-on with the WePad

Despite lots of nice-looking promotional images and videos, no one has actually put their hands on a WePad — until now.

The folks over at SlashGear are reporting that NetbookNews has had some time to play with the WePad and they’ve come away rather impressed.  The 11.6-inch Android-powered tablet seems to be quite responsive, and has the potential to be a solid tablet.

It’s due out in Germany for this July for €449 (16GB) or €569 (32GB + 3G).  As of now, there is no word on timing for arrival in the rest of Europe or the US.  I suppose we should wait to see if the July window for Germany actually happens before we worry about where they’ll be expanding after that.
