Google’s Nexus One to be sold in stores

Despite how great the phone is, sales of the Nexus One haven’t been great.  Most people agree that the biggest problem is that it’s only available online, so Google is fixing it.

Starting soon, Google will begin selling the phones through various retail outlets.  It’s assumed that Verizon and Sprint won’t be carrying it, but we haven’t heard if AT&T and/or T-Mobile will be selling it in their stores.

Once the phone becomes available in a variety of stores, Google will stop selling it online.  The online store will change to simply a showcase for the phone, likely including a “find a store near you” kind of call to action at the end of it.
