Garminfone spotted, but will it be any good?

The Garminfone has been spotted in the wild, but it really doesn’t seem to exciting.  In fact, it seems quite similar to the Nuvifone A50 that’s been demoed recently.

When the Nuvifone was first announced a few years ago, I was quite excited about it.  A phone with built-in Garmin navigation could be pretty cool!  Of course, since then it’s become far less exciting, in no small part due to Google’s exceptional Navigation tool built in to Android.

The Garminfone was announced last week, but has already been spotted in the wild.

The phone has a 3 megapixel camera, a microSD slot (up to 32GB) and a 3.5 inch screen.  It’s likely running Android 1.6, but that’s not known for sure.  It’ll be available on T-Mobile, and is due out this spring.
