At a recent even Google clarified that it will introducing change in Android 3.1 or hi-end tablets, which will help in optimizing search experience on Honeycomb based tablets.

This implies that Google will re-design the result pages so that they fit the large sized tablets much better. Besides, Google is also planning to make the screens even more touch-friendly instead of making them click oriented. These changes will only make it easier for honeycomb tablet users to search for their favorite content. Following this change, users will be able to quickly access contents relating to video, shopping, places and images among other filters. By simply tapping the search button, a user will be able to get to the particular category with ease. Those who search for images will find that the search page for Google images has large sized thumbnails, which can be easily browsed in comparison to the existing website version. Users also won’t have to adjust to different parameters for searching and zooming in and out will also be easier for them.

In its recently held quarterly meeting, Motorola Mobility disclosed a lot of relevant figures. The company clarified that it has shipped as much as 4.4 million smartphones to a number of retailers in the last three months and sent as many as 440,000 Motorola Xoom tablets around the same period.

The company is now planning to launch its much awaited Motorola Bionic in the month of September. Motorola had introduced the gadget at the CES event and stated that it would serve as a flagship mobile phone for Verizon. However, ever since then rumored launch dates have kept changing until the company disclosed that the gadget would hit the market in September.

Gadget lovers are badly waiting for the phone to hit the mobile phone stores. The reason why the release date for the gadget has been delayed is because Motorola was looking at incorporating changes to its hardware in order to make it more competitive and fit for selling in the market today. Motorola is now focusing on registering growth full of profits and creating and supplying unique LTE based smartphones and tablets.

Scrabble Android Application has finally been delivered by Electronic Arts. The EA Scrabble Free (Android 2.1+) application can now be downloaded from the Android Market. People who till now had been using Words With Friends and Word Feud can now use Scrabble effectively as it offers both recognition of name and familiarity.

Scrabble offers three game modes including Play A Random Opponent, Pass N’ Play and Play With Friends. In the Play a Random Opponent mode, you will find a real and live opponent to compete with, whereas the Playing With Friends mode allows you to create user names so that you can face challenges from contacts using different platforms (and not only those having Android). The game can support as many as fifty matches simultaneously. It also offers teaching mode that allows a user to learn the tricks to play the game better and an ability to chat with enemies after the conclusion of the match, if your mobile phone has Android 2.2 or even higher.

The application does a great job by notifying a user when his/her opponent has played and it’s their turn to put a word. The moment you swipe and then tap the Scrabble icon present in the tab, you will be drawn back into the game.

If yes, then you’ll be glad to know the fact that Google is very much aware of the problem. Google’s technical writer Scott Main has acknowledged the problem and shared that the upcoming Google Honeycomb version will also incorporate a compatibility mode in order to allow “awkward-looking apps” to make the most of the large sized tablet screens.

Almost all the applications in the Android Market are capable of scaling-up by design. However, in many a cases it has been seen that certain things do not fit appropriately. The latest changes that will be incorporated in Honeycomb will allow users to stretch the application so that it fits or fills the screen completely. This will also make the application look better.

The application will transform into a mode, which will allow content to fit on the tablet’s screen without making them appear awkward. While it won’t be clear in comparison to the resolution designed especially for mobile phones, it will offer zoom to make things look better.

ARCHOS is all set to launch two new tablets in the month of September. While the G9 Honeycomb tablets will be available in 8.0-inch and will offer a resolution of 1024 x 768, the 10.1-inch tablet is would have a 1280 x 800 resolution. Both the tablets will run Texas Instrument chips. The tablets won’t be very expensive at all and will pack some incredible features such as a 250 GB Seagate Hard Disk Drive. The devices would also offer the 3G dongle feature.

Although Android users are already aware of the fact that if a tablet’s USB port is enabled to permit data connection then they can use any USB stick in Android host mode. Given the ARCHOS approach, 3G data will now be available for very low prices. The company is offering a $49 Pay-As-You-Go Plan for data connection. However, more details on the pricing are yet to be disclosed by the company.

If ARCHOS manages to achieve what it has set out for then the company will be able to provide a convenient 3G path at almost half the price.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 version was not meant for sale in the market because of its technological problems and so it was not available in stores. The software was also not compatible with the Android Honeycomb tablet. Finally, Samsung has come up with the official version of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which is available in selected retail stores. It is available either with 16 GB memory which costs $499 or with 32 GB memory at the rate of $599.

Here is some information about the tablet that you need to know. As the name suggests, it has a 10.1inch screen with a very slim and sleek body of light weight. Dual camera facility is provided with the tablet. 3.2 megapixel camera is mounted on the rear portion, while 2 megapixel camera is found on the front portion. The core standard and the dual-core processor, NVIDIA Tegra 2 are the embedded important features that are necessary and very useful to run some applications such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and accelerometer.

It seems Google is keen on further relations and partnerships and partnership with a new concern. Apparently, this time Google would be anointing LG for building the Google Experience tab.

This tab is an integral part of Android ecosystem as Google utilizes such partnerships for pushing certain hardware options, which Google thinks should be prospective Android gadgets including bigger internal storage (like that of Nexus S) and AMOLED screens (like that of Nexus S & One). It also showcases the purest form of the Android operating system, without any restrictions on custom UI and features.

The software part is not on a priority for the Nexus tab as both the upcoming G-Slate as well as the Xoom have stock Android. However, it would be interesting to find out what hardware features does Google want for its Android tabs. It sure would be good to see better quality videos and front facing cameras, won’t it?
