Android 2.1 update for UK Motorola Milestone delayed (again)

While a number of phones have finally been upgraded to Android 2.1, the UK version of the Motorola Milestone has been delayed again.

According to the Motorola Europe Facebook Page:

We regret to say the UK 2.1 update has suffered further delays and been pushed back at least another 2 weeks. Additional operator approvals are now required which were not planned for originally. As we don’t want to cause any further disappointment, we will now post about the update only once the launch date is 100…% confirmed. Sincere apologies for the frustration caused and thanks for your continued patience.

The European version of the Milestone is already running 2.1, and it’s just the UK model that’s been delayed.  It’s apparently due to issues with the voice-to-text features, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
