Adobe giving free Android phones to their employees
We already know that Flash 10.1 is coming in Android 2.2 (Froyo), and now Adobe is pushing things forward a bit more. Much like Google did a few months ago, Adobe will be giving free Android devices to their employees.
Details in the article are light, but it’s been confirmed that Adobe will be giving phones to at least some of their employees. With nearly 8,600 employees in all, it’s not known whether all of them will be given phones, or just the developers. I’m pulling for all of them, but we’ll see.
It’s also not known which device(s) will be offered. Various HTC phones have been mentioned (such as the Nexus One and Incredible), but a decision has not yet been made. I would tend to think they’d lean more toward the Nexus One, as the Sense UI on the Incredible means that future Android updates (like the 2.2 update) will take much longer to arrive. Since a big reason for this move is that Flash is coming with Android 2.2, I would think they’d only offer devices that will be able to get the upgrade reasonably soon. Right now, the best choices are the Motorola Droid and the Nexus One.
